Avalanche Food Group Partners with Fort Bend Family YMCA to Give Away 200 Christmas Trees for Holiday Season

The Avalanche Food Group is teaming up with the Fort Bend Family YMCA to give away 200 Christmas trees to local families on Friday, Dec. 4 from 6– 9 p.m. at the YMCA (4433 Cartwright Road, Missouri City).

Each Christmas tree will include ornaments and decorations, as well as a free tree stand.

“My brothers and I grew up in the Fort Bend YMCA and it has always been an important part of our lives,” said Ricky Rosa, COO of Avalanche Food Group. “This is why we are very excited to partner with the local organization to give back to the local community during the holiday season.”

“The Fort Bend Family YMCA is thankful for the generosity of Avalanche Food Group,” said Pam Filip, Community Executive Director of the Fort Bend Family YMCA. “We are honored to be a part of this event and give families in need a wonderful gift this Christmas season, a beautiful Christmas tree. Christmas should be a time of joy and happiness but for many families who struggle financially, it is not.

On Dec. 4, through the generosity of Avalanche Food Group, families will experience the true spirit of Christmas. For all the families, we want to say a special thank you!”

This family-friendly event will also feature holiday cookies and a very special guest for children, Santa Claus.

To RSVP for a Christmas tree, families can contact Sharon Hilburn or Pam Filip of the Fort Bend Family YMCA at 281-499-9622.

The vouchers will be valid for one tree per family.

The Avalanche Food Group was founded in 2009 by the Rosa brothers — John, Joe and Ricky – and owns seven Twin Peaks locations in Texas and Indianapolis.
