Blood donor organizers need a minimum of 40 people to commit to donating blood on June 23. The blood drive is scheduled for June 23, in the parking lot of the Museum of Natural Science – Sugar Land.
The Museum is offering discounted admission to all donors ($5 instead of $12). Whole Foods will be providing refreshments.
The organizers of the blood drive are asking donors to donate in the name of recently diagnosed cancer patient Aaron Hurger. He is an asst. coach in WSLLL, Cub Scout Den Leader in Pack 38 and has two boys ages 8 and 6.
His doctors have said that the best thing is give blood, lots of blood. Summer is a critical shortage time for the Blood Center for any and all in need so even if your donation is not designated it is beneficial to someone.
