The decomposing body of an unidentified woman was discovered along a road in far west Fort Bend County in Beasley last Thursday, September 29, about 1:15 p.m.

According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, the body is believed to be possibly Hispanic. She is believed to have been between the ages of 21 to 35 years of age. She had black hair, was about 5’4″ and possibly weighed around 150 pounds.

According to authorities, the body was in stages of decomposition and believed to have been dumped along the roadway; not killed there. The body was sent to the Galveston County Medical Examiners office for autopsy in an effort to determine the cause of death.

At press time photographs of identifiable jewelry and clothing were available.
