Brazos Bend Guardianship Services Guardian Angel Program needs volunteers

A Volunteer Guardian Angel will be paired with one of our clients in our Corporate Guardianship Program.  These are incapacitated Fort Bend County Residents that might live in a nursing home, a group home, or Richmond State Supported Living Center.  The residents typically have no family support and could benefit from the support of a volunteer who will see them at least 2 times a month.  The goal of the program is for the volunteer to build a relationship with their client and provide social support.  A Volunteer Guardian Angel must be at least 21 years of age and be willing to make at least a 6 month commitment and be willing to complete a thorough application process.  For a complete volunteer job description please go to our website: http://brazosbendguardianship.org/id16.html. Brazos Bend Guardianship Services Volunteer Money Management Program offered

A Volunteer Money Manager will be paired with one of our Money Management Clients. These are low income elderly and/or intellectually disabled adults who are starting to lose or do not have the cognitive ability to manage their monthly income and bills are not being paid which puts them at risk of losing their independence. The Volunteer Money Manager must be at least 18 years of age, able to make a one year commitment, and complete a thorough application process. The Volunteer Money Manager must visit with a client in their home 1-2 times a month. The goal of the program is to help people retain their independence for as long as possible. .
