Bringing a knife to a gun fight

March 6, 2013 by FortBendStar

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Sometimes kids are so stupid it hurts. Such was the case in Rosenberg.

According to police a teenager was suspected of shoplifting. When he was confronted by store personnel, he grabbed a knife from a store rack and threatened the employees. Was it mentioned…this was during school hours? So much for compulsory attendance….

Anyway, this kid waves the knife all around be’n bad and all, then bolts from the store. Imagine his surprise when he runs out the door of the store right into the responding policeman! Gotcha!

Then to add insult to injury…he threatens the officer with the knife. The kid was ordered to drop the knife, and just to prove he owned more stupid than the law allows – he threw the knife at the officer. Suffice to say he was taken into custody.

Just say’n…never take a knife to a potential gun fight.
