Historic Richmond Association is gearing up for a summer full of fun, with their new summer schedule, and the group is looking for talented individuals to help.
“We are planning many events this summer, all of which will take place in Historic Downtown Richmond, on Morton Street. We will have story tellers for kids while adults enjoy other events such as open mic nights for local singers and comedians, happenings at the saloon, art gallery, restaurants and entertainers and strollers on Morton Street, and more,” said Rebecca Maitland, president, Historic Richmond Association.
Also, Ghost Tours of Richmond will be offered this summer which is a fun and highly entertaining happening. Plus, a few other tours which will also probably draw large audiences, with dates and times being announced by the first of June, so be sure and check the website: www.historicrichmond.org/
“The events will take place every Saturday beginning June 25, July 2, July 9 and July 16, from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.. So mark your calendars now and come down early for dinner at one of the unique restaurants such as the Italian Maid or Sandy McGees,” Maitland said.
On June 16, the Italian Maid, which is also a member of the Historic Richmond Association, will be hosting a wine tasting with wines from Tuscany, Italy, so be sure not to miss this event.
