Camps, shows happening at Fort Bend Theatre

0608-Fort-Bend-TheatreTrixie-and-Ward2The fun, family melodrama, The Dastardly Doctor Dogsbreath Devereuax, or Nurses! Foiled Again! will be showing through June 11 at Fort Bend Theatre, 2815 N. Main, Stafford, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

This punny, witty medical spoof features completely ridiculous olios that are guaranteed to keep you in stiches! Tickets are available online at www.fortbendtheatre.com for only $19 for adults, $18 for seniors and students and $16 for children with no ticket fees. Group rates for 10 or more are available by calling 281-208-3333.

Register online for summer musical camps

Summer is an exciting time at Fort Bend Theatre thanks to the extensive selection of Musical Theatre Camps available for children. Whether young performers loves Willy Wonka, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Les Mis, Legally Blonde, Dinosaur Adventures or Henry Potter Parodies, there is something for every age group at one of FBT’s 17 summer camps.

Each Musical Theatre Camp teaches acting, singing and dancing (unless noted as a non-musical) and culminates with a free final performance for friends and family. Each camp is $200. Register online at www.fortbendtheaatre.com. If the camp is sold out, you will not be allowed to register and should pick your second choice, or call 281-208-3333 to be added to the waiting list.

Princess and the Pea with a twist

The Fort Bend Theatre presents the classic fairytale, The Princess and The Pea with a very modern, girl-empowerment twist on June 12-30, Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m., and Tuesday through Thursday at 10 a.m.

The play is written by local playwright and Executive Artistic Director Tarra McCain. Tickets are available online for $12 each, adult or child at www.fortbendtheatre.com.  Group rates are available for 10 or more by calling 218-208-3333.
