Clements student earns Girl Scout’s highest honor for work with Sugar Land shelter

Shumaila Lakhani, a junior at Clements High School, has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. To earn the award, Lakhani contacted Fort Bend Promise, a local area shelter, to see if she could help them. Lakhani built drawers, cleaned and organized five storage spaces and developed a filing system for later use.
