Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sienna Branch Library, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month. These programs are free and open to the public.
Mother Goose Time, which takes place on Tuesdays at 10:00 am, provides caregiver/infant activities and songs especially designed for the youngest book-lovers, from age 1 month to 12 months.
The November schedule of Mother Goose Time activities is as follows:
- November 1 – Howl & Yowl
- November 8 – Itty-Bitty Lizards
- November 15 – Jumpin’ Joeys
- November 22 – Thanks
- November 29 – Kitty, Kitty
Toddler Time — Thursdays at 10:00 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age.
The November schedule of Toddler Time activities is as follows:
- November 3 – Toddler Howl
- November 10 – Iguana Time
- November 17 – Jumping Friends
- November 24 – LIBRARY CLOSED
Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:00 am each Wednesday. The November schedule is as follows:
- November 2 – Story Time Howl
- November 9 – Iguanas & Lizards
- November 16 – Jumping Around
- November 23 – Many Thanks!
- November 30 – Kitty Time
Kinder Korner — a time for kindergartners to enjoy stories, movies, crafts and other activities — takes place on the 2nd Wednesday, beginning at 4:00 pm. The Kinder Korner program on November 9 will be “Leaping Lizards.”
Pajama Night Story Time — which takes place on Mondays at 6:30 pm — gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the day time. The November schedule is as follows:
- November 7 – Howl at the Moon
- November 14 – Lounging Lizards
- November 21 – Jumping on the Bed!
- November 28 – Thankful Dreams
The After-School Break — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in grades 1 through 5 — takes place on the fourth Thursday, beginning at 4:15 pm. There will not be an After-School Break in November because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Tween the Pages — a book club for youth between the ages of 10 and 12 – takes place on the 2nd Tuesday, beginning at 4:15 pm. The next meeting of the Tween the Pages Book Club will be on November 8.
