First Colony Branch Library, 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month. These programs are free and open to the public.
Mother Goose Time, which takes place on every Tuesday at 11:00 am, provides caregiver/infant multi-sensory circle-time activities — including simple sign language, folksongs and lullabies, and finger plays — that are especially designed to stimulate babies’ social, emotional, and physical development through rhythm and music. Mother Goose Time is intended for infants from age 1 month to 12 months. Program dates are March 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Toddler Time, which meets every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:15 am, offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are March 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28.
Story Time, which meets every Wednesday at 11:15 am, provides stories, movies, and age-appropriate craft activities for pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age. Program dates are March 6, 13, 20, and 27.
