Sugar Land Branch Library, 550 Eldridge, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month. The programs are free and open to the public.
Toddler Time – Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are September 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26.
Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 11:15 am each Thursday. Program dates are September 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Pajama Night Story Time — which takes place every Thursday at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the day time. Program dates are September 5, 12, 19, and 26.
The After-School Breaks — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades — take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, beginning at 4:15 pm. The September schedule is as follows:
September 4 – Back-to-School Bonanza
September 18 – Delightful Dough
The Tween Programs, which take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 4:15 pm, provide crafts, games, and activities for students in the 4th and 5th grades. The September schedule is as follows:
September 11 – Game Day
September 25 – Superheroes Unite!
The Middle School Programs, which take place on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays beginning at 6:30 pm, are designed to give youth in grades 6 and up an opportunity to participate in activities of particular interest to young teenagers. The September schedule is as follows:
September 3 – Game Night
September 10 – Middle School Advisory Council
September 17 – Egg Astronauts
