Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sugar Land Branch Library, 550 Eldridge, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month. The programs are free and open to the public.
Mother Goose Time, which takes place on Tuesdays at 11:00 am, provides caregiver/infant activities and songs especially designed for the youngest book-lovers, from age 1 month to 12 months. Program dates are: August 14, 21, and 28.
Toddler Time — Wednesdays at 10:15 and 11:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are: August 15, 22, and 29.
Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:15 am each Thursday. Program dates are: August 16, 23, and 30.
Pajama Night Story Time — which normally takes place every Thursday at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the day time. Pajama Night Story Time will not take place in August. The regular schedule will resume in September.
Kinder Korner — a time for kindergartners to enjoy stories, movies, crafts and other activities — takes place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 4:15 pm. Kinder Korner will not take place in August. The program will resume in September.
The After-School Breaks — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades — take place on the 2nd and 4th Thursday, beginning at 4:15 pm. The After-School Breaks will not take place in August. The regular schedule will resume in September.
The Teen Programs, which take place on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays beginning at 6:30 pm, are designed to give youth in grades 6-8 an opportunity to participate in activities of particular interest to young teenagers. The Teen programs will not take place in August. The regular schedule will resume in September.
