Stroll the streets of Historic Downtown Rosenberg, capture the holiday spirit, and delight in the sights and sounds of Christmas in Rosenberg Saturday, December 1, from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Jump start your holidays by exploring an eclectic mix of eateries and shops featuring antiques, gifts, collectibles, handmade furniture, performing arts, and more!
Bring your family and friends and head to our historic downtown for a fun-filled day. Browse Rosenberg’s wonderful downtown merchants, eateries and attractions; shop at one of the over 50 gift and craft event vendors, take in Fort Bend’s rich railroad history at the Rosenberg Railroad Museum, catch a Cast Theatrical show, have your photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 3 to 9 p.m. at Downtown Park on Avenue G, and delight in the seasonal entertainment of local chorale, music, and dance groups at the entertainment stage at 3rd Street and Avenue F throughout the event, as you enjoy snacks from one of the downtown restaurants or event food vendors.
Check out Imperial Arts’ new Center for the Arts at 3rd Street and Avenue G, and take in an encore performance of Cast Theatre’s Lend Me a Tenor, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Coordinated by the Rosenberg Special Events Committee, the event will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus as guests of honor. The entertainment lineup at 3rd Street and Avenue G will include: the Rosenberg Brass Quintet at Noon, the “Miss Merry Christmas” pageant presented by Southern Sister designs, A Tropical Haven, and Nuance Downtown Studio at 1 p.m.; the Smith Rhythm Club Players at 2:30 p.m., a style show, Xtreme Danz, and The Frank Matta Band at 6:30 p.m. to name just a few! Stop by the information booth to pick up a full entertainment schedule day-of.
Purchase a ticket to guess at how many balloons it will take to lift a turkey for a chance at winning one of four great gift certificates (proceeds benefit Lunches of Love) at D&S Antiques, or a buy a quilt raffle ticket (proceeds benefit the Rosenberg Railroad Museum) at the Rosenberg Railroad Museum.
