The Christmas season is a time of excitement with joyous spirits and hearts that a full of giving. As we enter this season, it helps to remember the reason that we celebrate – God sent His son into the world. Without this first precious gift, we would have no Christmas.
It is that act of love that touches the hearts of our supporters. These generous souls enable the PRMC to provide for many of their clients who are not as fortunate. For those clients, the holidays are filled with stress, and often they lack even the basics. Pregnancy Resource Medical Center of Fort Bend County (PRMC) is here to help alleviate some of that stress by providing a wonderful help – Christmas gifts for their children. That is only possible because of the generous donations received.
This year, PRMC’s Secret Santas were parishioners from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, who donated toys that will be given to PRMC’ clients at their annual Christmas party with Santa.
Throughout the year, PRMC provides clients with much needed baby and maternity items, through its LEAP program, entirely free of charge. Just this month, the local Knights of Columbus Councils #2801 and #7445 again provided diapers, wipes, infant formula, and other baby items, as well as monetary contributions for the Center’s “Mommy Store”.
Remembering the words that Christ spoke in Acts 20:35 stating “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. (KJV) The generous folk who have provided the gifts and other material goods will receive those blessings promised. PRMC staff, board and volunteers are grateful to everyone who has given of their time, talents, prayers, funds and other support to the PRMC this past year, and invites everyone to join them in 2013 blessing others at the Center.
