A melee in the Pappasito’s parking lot led to the arrest of eight during Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph said on May 5 at 10 p.m., police responded to a fight in the parking lot at the Pappasito’s Restaurant, 13750 Southwest Freeway, during a large, organized, Cinco de Mayo celebration with live bands and other entertainment.
The eight people were arrested on various charges: Jason Bonilla, 20, of Sugar Land was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Jaime Escobar, 19, of Richmond was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct.
Gilberto Huerta, 17, was arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct and evading arrest. Irvin Edwardo Huerta, 19, of Fort Bend County, was arrested and charged with evading arrest. John Anthony Flores, 20, of Rosenberg, was arrested and charged with evading arrest.
Darwin Alexander Rodriguez, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and interference with a peace officer. Lenin Eric Garcia, 18, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with interference with a peace officer, and Jamie Escobar, 19, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
