The City of Rosenberg is proud to applaud the Rosenberg National Little League (RNLL) 13 and 14 year old Southwest Region Junior League Champions and cheer them onto victory in Michigan during the 2011 Junior League World Series to be played August 14 through August 20.
Mayor Vincent M. Morales, Jr. stated, “These young men have represented RNLL tremendously throughout their play this post-season. They are stellar ambassadors for Rosenberg and our community, and should be commended for all their hard work that has gotten them this far. We are very excited they will be representing Rosenberg in the Junior League World Series in Michigan, and wish them all the best in their quest for the Junior League World Series title. Their success is a testament to the hard work of everyone who dedicates time and energy to worthwhile community causes such as Rosenberg National Little League.”
The City encourages the community to join in and show their support for the team as they gear up for the next level of play. RNLL will be hosting a community pep rally – “Battle Red Day” – in celebration of the boys’ success and to send them off to the World Series.
The event will be held Thursday, August 11, at 7 p.m. at the RNLL’s home, Rosenberg’s Seabourne Creek Regional Sports Complex, located at 3701 Fountains Drive. Attendees are encouraged to wear red, and bring along signs of support for the players. For further information, please visit the RNLL website at www.rnll.net.
