This month’s wildfires have been devastating for many parts of Texas. The following information has been provided by the Greater Houston Red Cross as guidance for those members of the community wanting to provide assistance to the wildfire victims.
America Red Cross: How You Can Help
The best way you can support your local American Red Cross is to make a financial contribution. A financial contribution enables the Red Cross to help those in need every day of the year where and when help is needed most. To donate online, visit www.houstonredcross.org and select “Disaster Relief”. To donate by phone, call (800) RED CROSS (733-2767).
For information on Corporate donations, or organizing a fundraiser, contact Dory Cayten at (713) 313-1668 or email@example.com.
Red Cross does not accept “goods” as they do not have the warehouse space or means to send items to the location of the disaster. In order to provide immediate relief, a financial donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund is the best way to help all victims of disaster. If you have already collected items, the Red Cross encourages you to support a local charity that collects clothing, food and water.
