Tiffany Reed, a 2012 graduate of Clements High School, is one of five Fort Bend County teens to receive a college scholarship from the Suburban Sugar Land Women (SSLW) service organization. Reed will attend the University of Texas at San Antonio this fall.
Each year, SSLW provides a limited number of first-time scholarships to qualifying high school graduates and continuing scholarships to full-time college students. To qualify, students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree program in the upcoming academic year, have provided community service, and been involved in extra-curricular activities in high school. They are also required to complete an essay on a specific topic.
