The Ladybugs of Fort Bend County enjoyed fluttering to the Colonial Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Sugar Land recently to spread cheer to the elderly patrons there for Grandparents Day, which is an important day set aside to recognize the elderly in the United States in l978 by the President of the United States.
The group brought various items to brighten up the day of the patrons there including, magazines, cookies and candies, games and wonderful prizes. They also sang songs, provided beautiful harp music, and motivated the patrons to participate. The Ladybugs are always in need of more items for the patrons such as toiletries, lap blankets, and donations to continue their good work with the elderly and mentally challenged patrons at local area facilities.
Some of the patrons may not be visited often by friends or family members, so a visit from the Ladybugs is most enjoyable. The Ladybugs are currently having a membership drive, therefore, those interested should contact email@example.com or Vicki at 281-384-4006, if interested in giving back with a little bit of time, talents, and/or donated items for the upcoming holiday seasons.
