A Crime Stoppers Alert has been issued after a family fell prey to a pair of home invader robbers, who left empty handed.
“Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5,000 REWARD to any individual that can lead authorities to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspects who attempted to rob residents of a New Territory home Monday night,” said Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel.
Monday night, about 10 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home invasion robbery call in the 4800 block of Knights Branch. Haenel said the victim told the responding officer that his daughter answered a knock at the front door. When she opened the door she was face to face with a a man who displayed a pistol and demanded money. The girl screamed and ran into another room in the home and told her father what was happening, said Haenel.
When the father went to the front door, he was met by two black men standing about four feet inside his home. According to Haenel, “He ordered them to get out and returned inside to call the Sheriff’s Office.”
The two men fled according to Haenel.
The first suspect was about 5′ 8″ with a thin build. He was wearing a plaid button down shirt and had a cap on his head. The second suspect was between 5′ 8″ and 5′ 10″. He was wearing a gray hoodie with the hood pulled over his head, leaving the face exposed.
No information was available on the suspect vehicle.
Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the arrest and filing of charges on the suspects responsible for this crime.
