Vandals spent the weekend trolling the streets of two Fort Bend county neighborhoods shooting out cars with what appear to be BB guns.
Residents in Greatwood Trails and New Territory awoke Saturday morning to find many car windows shattered and other damage to their cars and property.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to take reports. As the day wore on more and more folks started their morning finding shattered windows and damaged fenders. However, not everyone wanted to report the incidents as they did not want to file it on their insurance.
Many of the same residents awoke Sunday morning to the same issues. Only this time it was another window. By Sunday nearly 40 criminal mischief reports had been taken and law enforcement officials were looking for a suspect vehicle identified as “possibly a Mustang.”
The thousands of dollars in damages is believed to have been caused by BB gun(s).
Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $5,000 in rewards to anyone with information leading to the arrest and or conviction of those involved in the crime spree. Crime Stoppers can be reached at 281-342-TIPS.
