District administrators appointed to new positions
The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees approved district administrators to represent various divisions in the school district, during recent board meetings.
Dr. Alice Ledford is Director of HR Leadership Experience; Kristi Durham is Director of Elementary Curriculum; Mitzi Patin is Executive Director of Information Systems; Amanda Bubela is Director of External Communications and Media Relations; and Pamela Shaw is Director of Parent and Community Engagement.
An educator of more than 25 years, Dr. Alice Ledford most recently served as the Senior Consultant of Human Resources’ Talent Management Division. She has also served as Assistant Director of Special Education, Organizational Development Coordinator, Dean and Associate Professor of the School of Education at Houston Baptist University, a lead high school counselor and a Special Education teacher. She holds several degrees – Doctorate in K-12 School Administration, Master’s in Counselor Education, Bachelor’s in Administration of Criminal Justice, Bachelor’s in Psychology – and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Kristi Durham began her educational career in Fort Bend ISD in 1996 as a teacher at Sugar Mill Elementary School. She then served as assistant principal at Meadows Elementary School and at Settlers Way Elementary before being named principal in 2006. She has a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin University.
Mitzi Patin has dedicated the past eight years to working as Director of Business Information Systems in FBISD’s Technology Department. Prior to joining FBISD, she served as Director and BPO Mobilization Lead for Accenture, a leading global professional services company, where she worked with clients in the oil and gas industry, communications and high tech to ensure that all technology was in place. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from McNeese State University.
Amanda Bubela brings a wealth of experience to the Community Relations team, having worked for more than 10 years as a news reporter, anchor and producer for three major television news stations. She most recently served as assistant director of external communications and media relations. Prior to that, she was the media relations coordinator for the department. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television with an emphasis on Management, Marketing and Sales from Sam Houston State University.
Pamela Shaw has devoted 15 years to FBISD, having recently served as the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator and former VIPS Coordinator in the Community Relations Department. In her new role, Shaw will support and foster parent and community partnerships to enrich student learning and success. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies and Literature from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England.
