Disturbance at restaurant results in arrest

A disturbance at eatery ends with one in custody.

Last weekend Sugar Land police were called to the Kona Grill in the 16500 block of the Southwest Freeway about 10 p.m. after a fight between patrons.

According to authorities, a 37 year old Richmond resident was having dinner with his wife when a group of young men, at a near by table, began to be disruptive. The 37 year old patron argued with one of the younger men, eventually throwing a punch.The younger man’s buddy’s jumped into the fray and police were called.

In the end, the 37 year old Richmond resident was arrested and charged with assault.
