A domestic squabble ends with one man in jail another in the hospital. On
Friday afternoon about 4:30 Sugar Land police responded to a home in the 3000 block of Mesquite Drive after a report of an assault in progress. Police spokesman Doug Adolph said the call was regarding an altercation between parties.
Calls to police indicated that a man and a woman were screaming at each other at a nearby home. When officers arrived on the scene they found a woman and her boyfriend arguing. That boyfriend was identified as Brian Gisentaner; he continued to yell at the woman in a hostile manner even in front of police.
He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. He then resisted officers as they placed him in the back of a patrol vehicle, continuing his belligerent behavior refusing to follow instruction from officers while being processed at the city jail said Adolph.
The woman told police that Gisentaner had assaulted her brother earlier that day. She explained that her brother had come to the house but had gone to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained at the hands of Gisentanter. Late that day, the assault victim contacted police from a local hospital to file a report. Adolph said, “He told police that he went to his sister’s house because Gisentaner was causing problems. He said an argument occurred, and Gisentaner hit him in the head and bit his ear while fighting on the floor.”
Gisentaner was charged with aggravated assault.
