According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, deputies were called to a home in the Old Orchard subdivision to investigate a residential burglary.
On Feb. 16, 2012, a home in the 3900 block of Crestwind Lane in the Old Orchard subdivision (off FM 1464 in the Richmond area) concerning a burglary of a habitation, said Haenel.
He went on to explain, “At least two suspects broke into the home and stole several valuable pieces of jewelry, including watches and rings, totaling more than $30,000 in value.” Fortunately, a surveillance camera posted at the home recorded images of one of the suspect as he approached the home. Handily, that same security system also recorded both cars believed to have been used in the burglary. In reviewing the photographs, the suspect caught on the candid camera appears to be a tall Black male. The two vehicles are a light brown Chevrolet Trailblazer and a silver-colored Honda Accord, said Haenel.
Information which leads to the arrest or conviction of the suspect(s) involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
