In May of 2008 former Baines Middle School teacher Rebecca Ann Bramlett was arrested and charged with inappropriate student/teacher relationship. Back in 2008 the “Star” reported, “According to the sheriff’s spokesperson, Rebecca Ann Bramlett, 33, was pulled over on a routine traffic stop in far east Fort Bend County.”
When the deputy engaged Bramlett in conversation during the traffic stop, and according to the sheriff’s spokesperson, she voluntarily revealed she was a teacher and the 16 year old boy in her car was her boyfriend. As a result of the traffic stop and the “volunteered” information provided by Bramlett, an investigation was initiated.
After allegations surfaced of an inappropriate student/teacher relationship, Bramlett resigned the following Tuesday from her teaching position from Baines Middle School. She was eventually convicted and given seven years deferred adjudication and registered as a sex offender. However, because of an arrest for DWI in Brazoria County, Bramlett will now have to spend 16 weekends in the Fort Bend County Jail.
That arrest was in early March of 2012 near Pearland, where she was charged with DWI.
Bramlett who now lives on Nantucket in Houston is serving her weekends in the Fort Bend jail from May through August.
