Early voting has begun
Early balloting for the May 7 local elections began April 25 and continues until Tuesday, May 3.
Information about early voting locations for many units of local government may be found on the Fort Bend County Elections Department website, www.fortbendvotes.org.
They include Fort Bend ISD, Needville ISD, the cities of Arcola, Fulshear, Kendleton, Missouri City, Richmond, Simonton, and Sugar Land, as well as many utility districts.
Voters who wish to cast ballots early may do so at any of 19 early voting sites. The days and hours may vary among the various sites; however, all sites will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the last two days of early voting, May 2 and 3.
Identification is required in order to vote. Voters should be prepared to show their Texas driver’s license, or other approved form of photo ID before voting.
Some districts, including Katy ISD, and some MUD’s in Fort Bend County may be conducting their own elections and will not have information listed on the Fort Bend County website.
Voters are encouraged to contact their school, or MUD for election information not appearing on the county website.
