A brand new event will take place along the award-winning Edible Arbor Trail that borders Oyster Creek from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday.

Edible Earth Fest is a FREE event for participants of all ages.

Members of Missouri City Green will host fun and interactive earth-friendly activities at 5 different booths spread along the trail including how composting works, ways to save water, beneficial insects to keep your yard healthy, recommended native plants and fun ways to recycle.

Strolling between the booths, participants can take a ‘tour de fruit’ and enjoy the groves of fruit trees that line the Trail.

Parking is available at the Y (4433 Cartwright Rd) or at Southminister Church (4200 Cartwright). The event is hosted by Missouri City Green, the Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliate for Missouri City (www.missouricitygreen.org), in partnership with Missouri City Parks & Recreation Department and the Mayor’s Youth Commission.
