Summer School Registration

FBISD 2016 summer school registration opens soon Courses offered at Elkins High School, Sugar Land Middle School, Lexington Creek Elementary and Pecan Grove Elementary

Summer School registration starts soon in Fort Bend County.

Fort Bend ISD will offer summer school programs meeting academic needs at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Transportation pick-up will be available from clustered elementary sites. Transportation information for eligible students will be shared at a later date on the summer school webpage.

High school summer school programs

Two high school general summer school sessions will be offered at Elkins High School (7007 Knights Court, Missouri City).

Session I will take place June 13 – June 30

Session II will take place July 11 – July 28

All programs will be closed July 4 – July 8.

High school students attending the Original Credit program will attend Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Transportation is provided.)

High school students attending the AP/Pre-AP summer school program will attend Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (No transportation will be provided for those attending AP/Pre-AP courses.)

High school online registration dates

Original Credit, AP, & Pre-AP: April 4 – June 7

Remedial Credit: June 1 – June 7

High school/middle school walk-in registration dates, times, and locations (Out of district students are able to attend FBISD general summer school programs and register during walk-in registration only.):

Wheeler Field House: High school – June 8 (10 a.m.-7 p.m.)

Wheeler Field House: Middle school – June 9 (10 a.m.-7 p.m.)

Wheeler Field House: High school and middle school – June 29 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)

Middle school summer programs

Two general middle school summer school programs will be offered at Sugar Land Middle School (321 Seventh Street, Sugar Land).

Middle general summer school (for remedial credit)

Session I will take place June 13 – July 30

Session II will take place July 11 – July 28

Students attending the middle general summer school will attend Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Transportation will be provided.) To learn more about the online registration process (June 1 – June 7), please visit the summer school webpage.

Students can also register for general middle school summer school sessions during walk-in registration events.

Wheeler Field House: Middle school – June 9 (10 a.m.-7 p.m.)

Wheeler Field House: High school and middle school – June 29 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)

Middle Accelerated Instructional Program (SSI) Summer School

Open to all eighth-grade students who failed Reading STAAR after the second administration and students who are struggling with math based on the Curriculum and Instruction/Testing Departments’ proposed guidelines. This is offered to students at no charge.

Middle SSI programs will be held June 7 – June 22. Students attending SSI will attend Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Transportation will be provided.)

Elementary summer school programs

Elementary Accelerated Instructional (SSI) Programs will be offered at Lexington Creek Elementary and Pecan Grove Elementary. The SSI programs are open to all fifth-grade students who failed Reading STAAR after the second administration and students who are struggling with math based on the Curriculum and Instruction/Testing Departments’ proposed guidelines. Campuses will be divided between east and west sides of the district. This is offered to students at no charge.

Locations: Lexington Creek Elementary (2335 Dulles Avenue, Missouri City) and Pecan Grove Elementary School (3330 Old South Drive, Richmond)

Elementary SSI programs will be held June 7 – June 22. Elementary students will attend Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. (Transportation will be provided.)

Lexington Creek Elementary will host the following campuses: Armstrong, Austin Parkway, Blue Ridge, Briargate, Burton, Colony Bend, Colony Meadows, Commonwealth, Dulles, Glover, Goodman, Heritage Rose, Highlands, Hunters Glen, Jones, Lantern Lane, Lexington Creek, Palmer, Parks, Quail Valley, Ridgegate, Ridgemont, Scanlan Oaks, Schiff, Settlers Way and Sienna Crossing.

Pecan Grove Elementary will host the following campuses: Barrington Place, Brazos Bend, Cornerstone, Drabek, Fleming, Holley, Jordan, Lakeview, Madden, Meadows, Mission Bend, Mission Glen, Mission West, Oakland, Oyster Creek, Pecan Grove, Seguin, Sugar Mill, Townewest, Walker Station and Madden Elementary.
