EDUCATION BRIEFS: Clayton, Thummel graduate from Northern Colorado

Missouri City resident Kenna Clayton and Sugar Land resident Allison Thummel were among the 825 fall graduates at the University of North Colorado on Dec. 12.

Clayton earned a degree in Business Administration/Marketing, and Thummel earned a degree in Dietetics.

Four Sugar Land residents make Honor Roll at Midwestern State

Sugar Land Bruce Brown (Dean’s Honor Roll) Jacob Partida (Dean’s Honor Roll), Kharmyn Lewis (Provost’s Honor Roll), and Rachael Miyahara (President’s Honor Roll) were honored during the fall semester at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.

Missouri City’s Stone named a Who’s Who finalist

Rachel Stone of Missouri City was nominated by faculty at Harding University as a 2015-16 Who’s Who finalist.

Stone is a communication sciences and disorders major at the Searcy, Ark., university.

Each year, Harding faculty selects upperclassmen to represent the University for the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges honors programs.

Stone was chosen based on GPA, participation and leadership within school organizations and extracurricular activities, community involvement and future leadership ability or potential.
