Boy Scout Troop 911, chartered to St. Theresa Catholic Church, Sugar Land, is pleased to announce the upcoming Eagle Court of Honor for Ethan Lee, who was officially awarded the rank of Eagle Scout by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Ethan is the son of Robert and Dena Lee. In recognition of this outstanding accomplishment, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on May 12, 2012 at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church.
Ethan joined Cub Scout Pack 1606 at age seven and later earned their highest award, the Arrow of Light. A member of Troop 911 since 2006, he regularly attended Summer Camps with his Troop and participated in a High Adventure trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
Because of Ethan’s long membership at Sugar Land UMC, he wanted his Eagle Project to benefit the church and the people it serves. Working with church leadership, Ethan led a crew to restore the Love Garden.
The Love Garden is used for weddings and receptions at the church. The Love Garden had numerous trees and shrubs whose roots were intruding into the electrical cabling of the church buildings. Ethan and the crew removed these items as well as cleaned numerous Teak benches.
Ethan is a junior at Elkins High School. Ethan is active in the church choir and the youth group.
He has participated on numerous mission projects. He is scheduled to travel to El Salvador in July 2012 to build a water well with Living Water International.
