The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) was pleased to present a $1,000 Community Assistance Fund (CAF) Grant to Shape Up Sugar Land, which will be used to help bring the documentary “Health Needs a Hero” to the community.
This film focuses on the epidemic of childhood health issues and delivers a powerful message through the hearts of children and key stakeholders about the need for physical fitness, proper nutrition and support to overcome this major health concern.
FBJSL accepts CAF applications throughout the year for grant funding up to $5,000 per year. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations serving Fort Bend County with requests to fund a critical need, a pilot program and/or expand a significant service to the community.
