The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) was pleased to present a $5,000 Community Assistance Fund (CAF) grant to Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, which will be used to support its educational programs in Fort Bend County. These funds will be used to educate and inspire young women through two Women’s Leadership Conferences.
Junior Achievement provides K-12 economic focused programs for use in classroom and after-school settings. Their programs help bring relevancy to the work students are doing in their classrooms as well as prepares them for the outside world. Junior Achievement promotes volunteerism by bringing outside volunteers to the students to promote educational workforce readiness and economics.
FBJSL accepts CAF applications throughout the year for grant funding up to $5,000 per year. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations serving Fort Bend County with requests to fund a critical need, pilot program and/or expand a significant service to the community.
