FBJSL continues to make a difference in the community

February 8, 2012 by FortBendStar

The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) continues to improve Fort Bend County by providing trained and effective volunteers to worthy charitable organizations through their volunteer and fundraising efforts.

In 2010, FBJSL initiated their Difference in a Day program (DIAD). The DIAD program is a way for FBJSL and its members to partner with organizations to help make a difference in the community in just a few short hours.

While the projects may be short-term, the difference is long-term. DIAD organizes several projects throughout the year. On Friday, January 27, FBJSL’s DIAD program hosted a Tea Party for Fort Bend Seniors at the Bud O’Shieles Community Center in Rosenberg.
