The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is pleased to announce that Brigit Engleman was recently named as the 2011 – 2012 Volunteer of the Year. A member of the League since 2003, Brigit has served on a variety of committees and placements within the League and has held numerous leadership positions within the organization.
She has served on numerous special event committees, the Beneficiary Review Committee and Advisory Council, and has played key roles on the Sugar Plum Market as well as on other League events and core placements.
She served six years in various roles on the FBJSL Board of Directors, including serving as President during 2009 – 2010.
Brigit has also been very active with Child Advocates of Fort Bend, including serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) since 2003, assisting with the CASA Home Tour and presently serves on the Board of Directors. Currently she serves on the Advisory Council of Parks Youth Ranch.
Over the years, Brigit has demonstrated a sincere commitment and dedication to the League and her community. She has worked tirelessly to support the League’s efforts and embodies the highest level of volunteerism.
Brigit’s family was on hand at the League’s May meeting to share in the celebration of her commitment and service to the Fort Bend community.
