Music is a brain builder so it’s important to start children early, especially boys, with a strong musical foundation.
Parents with a 6- or 7-year-old boy that loves music and singing, the Fort Bend Boys Choir’s Music Magic program can provide that firm foundation.
Music Magic brings music alive through the use of movement, musical games, singing and other child-centered activities. Boys learn about pitch matching and rhythm awareness in addition to developing large muscle coordination, increased focus and better musicianship. No auditions are necessary – just a love of music and singing.
In its 21st season, Music Magic will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., through Nov. 28 at First United Methodist Church Missouri City, 3900 Lexington Blvd., Missouri City. Music Magic will then sing at the Fort Bend Boys Choir’s annual Christmas Musicale on Saturday, Dec. 2. The cost for the course is $100 and boys will receive a Music Magic t-shirt once classes start.
Classes are limited in size so call the choir office at 281-240-3800 to pre-register or visit their website at www.fbbctx.org.
