On April 27, local Fort Bend businesses and the general community teamed with the Fort Bend County Women’s Center to celebrate Denim Day 2011. By simply wearing a pair of jeans, a denim shirt or jacket and teal ribbons, participants played a part in this important day during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
Women’s Center staff also handed out information on sexual assault to customers at the Rosenberg Walgreen’s located at the corner of Avenue H and Millie. One gentlemen even took extra brochures to give his young teenage daughters and sons.
