Just north on The Grand Parkway/Tx 99 from the bb gun plagued neighborhood of Greatwood, are the RiverPark and RiverPark West subdivisions that are now the basis for a Crime Stoppers Special Alert.
In the wee hours of Sunday morning Sheriff’s deputies responded to several home burglaries and multiple car burglaries. “Two homes and one garage were burglarized while several vehicles in these locations were burglarized as well,” said Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel. He said the involved homes are on Masonwood Lane, Wildwood Park Road, Granite Field Lane, Oleaster Springs Lane and Dover Mist Court.
It all began about midnight when at least three suspects were seen involved in the burglaries that occurred between midnight and about 5 a.m., according to Haenel. During the car burglaries the intruders stole property from the cars, including keys to some of the residences, in which they entered at least two of the homes while the owners slept.
Also stolen from the cars, some unlocked in their driveways, were credit cards and guns. The stolen credit cards were used at the Wal-Mart on West Airport and the Southwest Freeway in Stafford. The last transaction made using those stolen credit cards was at 4:57 a.m.
Haenel said, “The suspects were believed to have changed clothing before heading to Wal-Mart. They were driving a blue Lincoln Town Car.” He also said, “In all cases, the suspects were not confronted by victims nor were any injuries reported.”
Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the arrest and filing of charges on the suspects responsible for this crime.
