Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors Bookworms group is having a special meeting October 4, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sienna Branch Library, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd., in Missouri City.

Sugar Land resident, writer, and University of Houston Creative Writing Program faculty member, Chitra Banarjee Divakaruni, will be a guest at the meeting. Ms Divakaruni’s novel, One Amazing Thing, is this year’s Gulf Coast Reads selection.

Similar to “One city, One book” events nationwide, Gulf Coast Reads selects one book to read and discuss at multiple libraries and locations across a four-county region.

Bookworms’ friend and Sugar Land author, Ann Weisbarger, will introduce Ms Divakaruni to the group.

For additional information contact Jane Nilsson at activities@fbfn.org or 281-437-6222.
