Fort Bend ISD earns Texas Comptroller’s 2012 Gold Leadership Circle Award

July 25, 2012 by FortBendStar

Fort Bend ISD has been awarded the 2012 Gold Leadership Circle Award from the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle program. The “Gold” designation is the highest award level and highlights annually those entities that are setting the bar with their transparency efforts.

“Our goal in the business and finance department is to provide up-to-date information on the District’s financial status for our taxpayers and constituents in an easily accessible format,” said Chief Financial Officer Tracy Hoke. “We sincerely appreciate this award and welcome any feedback on our site.”

The Leadership Circle program began in 2009 to recognize local governments across Texas that are striving to meet a high standard for financial transparency online. This is the second year that Fort Bend ISD has received the “Gold” award.
