Congratulations to Danielle Moss of Fleming Elementary School, who was named FBISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Yolanda Clarke of Travis High School, who was named FBISD Secondary Teacher of the Year at a special awards dinner on April 28.
Danielle Moss is a fifth-grade English Language Arts teacher at Fleming Elementary. She has been teaching for 10 years, with five of those at Fleming. She is an exceptional teacher and acknowledges that teaching is not always glamorous; however, it does provide some amazing opportunities to watch dreams unfold and to inspire students to believe that anything is possible.
Yolanda Clarke from Travis High School has 15 years of teaching experience, of which five years have been at Travis. She teaches twelfth-grade English Language Arts. Clarke believes teachers are true heroes and that the beauty of teaching is the opportunity to fill students with pride in their own accomplishments and their true value.
