Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. (FBRC) distributed 124 Thanksgiving turkeys to clients who attend the Council’s treatment programs. Many of these clients once led lifestyles that separated them from loved ones. “We want all of our clients to have the opportunity to repair and build lasting relationships with their families. One of the strongest and best ways to do that is to share a holiday meal with family around the table” said John Robson, FBRC’s Chief Operations Officer.
The turkey drive was a great success as noted by Tammy, one of our clients, “It was my first sober Thanksgiving. My family has struggled this year and we enjoyed the turkey that FBRC gave us. It brought my family and I closer together and I felt very blessed”.
