Dear Editor,
Sometimes everything does work just like it is suppose to work! Earlier this week I became a victim of crime. While I slept safe and sound inside my home in Sugar Land, my vehicles, not locked, and my garage were entered by a thief of the night.
Upon waking the following morning and discovering I was a victim, I called the Sugar Land Police Department, reported the break-in and had an officer respond in less than 10 minutes. Officer Rhodes was polite, professional and diligent. She took my information and gave me her card to send additional information.
My first thoughts were that was all that would happen and I could kiss my digital camera stolen from my car goodbye. I did email the serial number of the camera to her just in case.
That afternoon I discovered my neighbor had suffered a similar break-in over night as well and the thieves returned during the day to burglarize her home. We shared our stories on the front lawn while the police investigated.
We realized there was a connection when I mentioned the thief dropped a set of keys in the back of my truck The keys were my neighbor’s.
Missouri City Police, on a separate burglary, recovered my neighbor’s I Pad and called to verify ownership. Officer Rhodes followed up on this information, called Missouri City Police and just two days after being a victim, I have my camera.
Thank you Officer Rhodes and Sargent Mike Richards for your diligent work, professional attitude, and downright politeness.
Sincerely,
Bob (last name withheld)
Sugar Land
Not surprised at all Officer Rhodes has always be a professional Police Officer. Job well done Monica.
