Fort Bend resident receives state volunteer award

The Texas Board of Criminal Justice recently presented Gilbert Flores (2nd from left, first row), worship leader with C.O.O.L. (Christ Over Our Life) Ministries, and the organization with a prestigious Governor’s 2012 Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award in Austin. Flores resides with his family in Stafford and is among 13 individuals and 6 organizations from across the State recognized for efforts to help offenders and those who are on parole or probation. Joining Flores are Oliver J. Bell, TBCJ Chairman, Brad Livingston, Executive Director, and Grove Norwood, founder of the Heart of Texas Foundation
