The Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) has selected Fort Settlement Middle School as a 2012 Texas School of Character. Fort Settlement is the only Fort Bend ISD school and the only school in Region IV to receive the honor.
The school was honored during TEPSA’s District 4 meeting at the Region IV Service Center. Being selected as a State School of Character means Fort Settlement’s application will now be forwarded to the Character Education Partnership in Washington D.C. for consideration in the National Schools of Character program.
Fort Settlement will retain its eligibility status as a State School of Character for three years, through 2014.
