Foster High School senior Stephanie Tsai is one of only 20 students in state chosen for the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) All-State Academic Excellence Team.
The award recognizes Texas high school seniors for their outstanding academic achievements and the rewards of superior scholarship.
Many students were nominated by the high school principals based on SAT or ACT scores, academic grade point average, pursuit of advance diploma and other evidence of exceptional academic ability. Nominees were asked to write a 300 to 500-word essay to submit with the application. From that group of 150 students, only 20 were chosen for the All-State team.
Tsai earns a $500 scholarship and will be recognized at the June TASSP Summer Workshop in Austin. Gene Tomas is the principal at Foster High School.
