Fugitive arrested upon return to the United States
On Feb. 14, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an aggravated assault call in the 1000 block of Farrah Lane in Stafford.
Upon arrival it was learned an 18-year-old man had been shot as he returned home from the store with a Valentine’s Day gift for his mother. Sheriff’s detectives obtained information that led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as Ahmed Altaee. Altaee fled to the Middle East following the crime.
With the assistance of federal law enforcement and the Houston Police Department, Ahmed Altaee was taken into custody at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston as he returned to the United States during the early morning hours of March 31.
Altaee was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail and has been charged with aggravated assault.
Bond was set at $50,000 by Judge Stuti Patel of the 240th District Court.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and as of last report was continuing to undergo treatment.
