The City of Fulshear will be hosting their annual Festival of Lights on December 7, in Downtown Fulshear from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. The Tree Lighting will be held at 6 P.M. followed promptly by the Light Parade down Main Street. Featured Performers include Huggins Elementary Choir, First United Methodist Chancel Choir and Orchestra and the Keller Dance Academy. The event has a Victorian theme and will include many fun activities including pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus, Horse Carriage Rides, a Stylized Photo Booth, Letters to Santa, Period Costumes, Chancel Bells, traveling performers and various children’s games.
Event attendees are encouraged to get in the spirit by dressing in Victorian period clothing. It can be as simple as adding a top hat or bonnet to your outfit or dressing in full costume with coat tails, long dresses, and buttoned boots.
Community members and organizations are encouraged to participate in the Light Parade which has no registration cost. Light up your vehicles, animals and most importantly yourselves! There will be a prize for the best decorated entry in the parade. You can make it a fun family project or team building exercise for your business/organization. Either way, fun will be had by all! You can register for the parade up until the day of the event.
The City is also seeking unique booth vendors that coincide with the Victorian theme! Booth registration forms are available on the city’s website at www.fulsheartexas.gov and the registration deadline is Monday, December 2.
