Did you know that you can learn how to repair a small engine, study a language, or create a business plan with some of the library’s free online resources? The Adult Services staff at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sienna Branch Library will introduce many of these resources at a special program “Daily-Life Databases” on Wednesday, March 27, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab of the library, located at 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City.
Many of these online resources can help with various aspects of everyday life. Consumers can research reviews of different products or automobiles, or become better informed about healthcare issues. Budding entrepreneurs can learn how to create a business plan and see samples of plans already developed. Family-history researchers can find quick and easy access to public-record resources, and can also utilize the library’s professional online databases that might be unaffordable to subscribe to as an individual.
During the “Daily-Life Databases” program, library staff will introduce these resources and many more.
The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sienna Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2952, or by visiting the library.
