Local Girl Scout Brownie Troop 19274 will plant flowers and shrubs to help rebuild the Butterfly Garden at Buffalo Run Park that was affected by last year’s drought, Saturday, March 31, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“Every time a volunteer gives their time to help our city parks, they are providing a great service for both the animals that live there and the people who visit,” said City Forester Paul Wierzbicki. “This project is special because it gives park visitors a chance to get a close-up view of our local butterflies, as well as the plants they depend on to survive.”
Buffalo Run Park, is located at 1122 Buffalo Run Blvd. The planting location is next to the playground.
